Bezares Automates the Deburring Process in CNC Machining to Improve Quality and Ergonomics

Bezares continues advancing in the automation and optimization of its production processes with the incorporation of a new flexible radial deburring tool in its Mazak Nexus 6000 CNC machining centers.

The implemented solution allows edge breaking and burr removal operations on cast parts to be carried out automatically directly within the machining cycle, eliminating the need for a subsequent manual operation traditionally performed by the operator when removing the part from the machine.

The tool, supplied by AKSTEKNIK Deburring & Marking Technologies, operates through a spring-loaded mechanical compensation system with radial flexibility, enabling it to adapt to the small irregularities and dimensional inaccuracies typical of cast components. Thanks to this flexible behavior, a far more uniform and repeatable deburring result is achieved across the entire contour of the part.

The implementation was carried out using internal resources and personnel, integrating the operation into all cast components machined in this production center. Although the new process adds approximately 10 seconds to the cycle time per part, the improvements achieved in quality, standardization, and ergonomics more than compensate for this increase.

Among the main benefits achieved are:

  • Greater uniformity in edge finishing.
  • Reduced variability between parts.
  • Elimination of repetitive manual operations.
  • Reduced operator fatigue and workload.
  • Improved process stability and repeatability.
  • Full integration within the automatic CNC process.

This initiative reinforces Bezares’ commitment to continuous improvement, intelligent automation, and the constant pursuit of more robust, efficient, and quality-oriented manufacturing processes.
